Do you move all types of pianos?
Yes – upright pianos, grand pianos, baby grands, digital pianos, and electronic keyboards. Each type requires different handling, and we have the expertise and equipment for all of them. Tell us what you have and we’ll plan accordingly.
We assess these challenges during the site visit. For difficult access, we may use specialist equipment like hoists or cranes, or in some cases, we remove parts of the piano temporarily. We’ll explain all options upfront.
We carry full insurance on all pianos during transit and placement. We’ll work with your insurance and ours to ensure any damage is covered. High-value instruments can receive additional specialist cover.
Piano moves can affect tuning due to changes in transport and environment. We recommend professional retuning within a week or two of the move. We can recommend qualified piano technicians or help you arrange this.
It depends on the type and size of the piano, the distance, and any access challenges. A local upright move might start from a few hundred pounds, while a grand piano across the country will cost more. We provide a fixed quote after assessment.
We’ll advise during the assessment. You don’t need to empty the piano or remove anything inside – we handle that. If it has a lid, prop, or bench that comes off, we’ll manage those carefully. Just make sure we have access and clear space around the instrument.
