The Almandras family
Sandersteads is run by the Almandras family, and it has been a family concern for decades. The name above the door is a real family, not a brand borrowed for marketing, and that shapes how we work. Decisions are made by people who answer directly to the customers they serve, and the standards we set are the standards we are personally known by in the local area. When you deal with us, you are dealing with the family that owns the company.

Our accreditation
We are members of the British Association of Removers, the trade body that sets and enforces standards for professional movers in the UK. BAR membership is not automatic. Members are audited against the association’s standards and are bound by its code of practice, which gives you real protection and recourse. You can confirm our membership on the BAR directory at bar.co.uk. This is one of the clearest ways to tell an established, accountable remover from an operator who has simply set up a website.

An independent, non-profit organisation set up to resolve disputes between consumers and traders. If something goes wrong and we can’t resolve it directly, you have a free, impartial route to get it sorted.
Our Godstone depot and storage
We operate from our own depot and storage facility in Godstone, Surrey. This is where our vehicles are based, where our teams start their day, and where your belongings are kept when you use our storage. Because the facility is ours, we control the standards inside it: secure, dry and monitored, with your goods inventoried and handled by our own trained crews rather than passed to third parties.
Storage matters more often than people expect, whether you are between homes, downsizing, renovating or moving abroad.
